    We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Liquidity & Funding to join our team.

    The Senior Manager, Liquidity & Funding is responsible for the operationalization and oversight of all external funding programs and facilities, monitoring and reporting on results related to the internal Liquidity & Funding Plan and liquidity risk management framework. This role uses the expertise of technical knowledge of Treasury and efficiently translates it in order to facilitate decision making at the Asset Liability Management Committee (ALCO) in regard to Liquidity and Funding matters. This role provides leadership and direction to the assigned Treasury team and collaborates with other Treasury and business leaders on key business activities to ensure the credit union maintains adequate levels of liquidity and funding at all times.

    Here's what would be included as a part of your typical day

  • Liquidity & Funding : Ensures sufficient funding is in place to cover working capital and liquidity needs including contingency funding needs. Supports bank and funding program relationships and access to the capital markets. Manages the total liquidity portfolio to ensure compliance to policy while maintaining the appropriate risk and return structure.
  • Stakeholder Management : Responsible for the management of key internal and external relationships to deliver on the liability and funding mandate.
  • Operations : Researches, recommends, and assists in operationalization of new funding programs to ensure diversification of funding and an efficient overall cost of funding.
  • Leadership: Provides leadership to Treasury staff, including career development and coaching, establishing annual goals, and completing the performance management process.
  • Risk Management : Responsible for an effective and prudent liquidity risk management program, including maintaining and improving an internal liquidity stress testing program.
  • Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required. Specialization in Business, Economics, or Finance is an asset.
  • CFA, CPA CA, or CPA CMA designation preferred but not required.
  • 6-7 years of experience in a treasury function, with experience in liquidity and funding management.
  • Experience with liquidity and funding programs including securitization, managing bank lines, and capital markets is preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills with the ability to influence others within the organization and proven experience effectively executing performance management processes, employee development plans, succession planning and coaching strategies for direct reports.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and build long-term relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, including the Board and senior leadership
  • Advanced knowledge of the treasury function as it relates to the financial services industry, including high level knowledge of the Liquidity and Funding functions.
  • Advanced modelling knowledge including the ability to build internal financial models and run an effective liquidity stress testing program.
  • Strong knowledge of project management to drive implementation of new treasury initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative options and recommendations to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the organization.
  • Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Pay Transparency Salary Range: $97,600 - $140,300 Please note, the salary range mentioned in this job posting should serve as a guide.
