Position Reports To:
Director, Human Resources

Position Overview


Reporting directly to the Director, Human Resources, the Manager, Total Rewards will be responsible for managing compensation, performance management and benefits programs, and conducting market research into best practices.

This role will act as the company-wide lead for compensation and benefits, conducting market research, monitoring compensation and benefits trends and pro-actively identifying and addressing issues in the business.

70% of the role will focus on compensation and 30% will focus on benefits.

Compensation


Benefits:

Oversees the organization's benefit programs and ensures programs are comparable with industry norms and competition. Monitors benefit programs uptake and usage and provides management with suggestions for improvements to the organization's benefits policy. Partners with Hub International Partners.

Key Responsibilities

Works closely with HR Managers on matters related to Total Rewards policies and processes.
Participates in audit processes and support recommendations.
Research best practices and trends to support senior management strategic discussions.
Supports the annual Management Information Circular process and maintains records for peer review and audit trail.

Conducts research, evaluation and analyze internal and external market survey data, in addition to analyzing market trends and making recommendations.

Evaluates and analyzes market data and maintain appropriate documentation.
Ensures pay equity compliance

Manages the annual compensation cycles, including compensation review process, program evaluations, ensuring budget adherence, and summarizing information for stakeholder presentations.

Supports the preparation of Human Resource Compensation Committee materials.
Develops, applies, and modifies policies for compensation, bonuses, and incentives.
Researches and analyzes relevant government regulations and industry best practices.

Designs, implements, and maintains a base pay structure that balances market competitiveness with internal job worth, in alignment with the compensation philosophy.

Guides participation in compensation surveys, identifying appropriate market sources and drawing out insights from the data.
Lead with a one-company mindset to drive safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, with a minimum 5+ years of experience in related field.
Broad range of compensation-related experience.
Knowledge of SAP, HRIS and Advanced knowledge of Excel.
Compensation certification (e.g. CCP)
Experience presenting and communicating with C-suite

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in compensation including executive compensation.
Proficiency with HR systems (e.g. SAP, Success Factors, ADP) and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
