Good Food Centre Worker

Full-Time, 6-Month Contract

1 Position

Wage Starts at $19.05 Per Hour

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct service user intake using Link2Feed software program
Assist in the distribution of all incoming goods
Maintain a clean working environment
Act as a backup support in the Good Food Centre for stocking shelves and food distribution
Committed to upholding the organization's mission, values and standards
Adhere to a strict policy of confidentiality
Work safely, identify any health and safety concerns and report to management, and follow Mission Services workplace health and safety policies and procedures at all times
Other duties as required to ensure the continuation of services

QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree or diploma in Human Services, Social Services, or equivalent work experience
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient in a second language
An understanding of issues including mental health, poverty, homelessness and ability to provide personcentered care
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs using work safe guidelines

HOURS OF WORK:

Hours Per Week (Monday to Friday)

Ability to work a flexible schedule in order to meet program needs

REQUIREMENTS:

Police Vulnerable Sector Check
Two-Step Tuberculosis Skin Test
Proof of two COVID19 vaccinations, or willingness to register to receive these vaccinations as soon as Possible

COMPENSATION:

Hourly wage starts at $19.05 per hour
