The Role:


Job Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee daily operations of the terminal.
  • Demonstrate capability to focus on the adoption of safe operating procedures.
  • Perform daily inspection and routine maintenance in accordance with the terminal operating standards.
  • Develop, update, and adhere to Local Operating Procedures and Checklists.
  • Participate and support optimization of schedule for product movements from ships (MET Site), rail (LOT Site), pipeline and truck.
  • Recognize and manage environmental and hazardous materials transportation risks in compliance to regulations.
  • Use and diagnose issues with automated product movement control and inventory management systems.
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal support groups and government agencies.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of inventories of products and record data using distribution management systems.
  • Supervise drivers loading and offloading hydrocarbons and additives products.
  • Supervise contractors and maintenance services (MET & LOT) through Permit to Work with effective communications and safety leadership.
  • Supervise connection/disconnection of marine hoses and mooring/unmooring activities (MET Site).
  • Perform rail loading/offloading including connection/disconnection, opening/closing of railcars (LOT Site).
  • Ascend and descend large bulk storage tanks to complete sampling, level checking, gas testing, and general inspections of the tanks.
  • Demonstrate capability and interest to use IT systems (desktop, tablet, smart phone, etc) to input various data and information (eg shift logs, shift rounds, work orders, etc), including basic troubleshooting of the systems during use.
  • Understand and monitor product quality parameters against criteria and liaise with internal and external resources to ensure troublefree operations and maximize the reliability of the terminal.

Requirements:


  • College degree or Attestation of Collegial Studies in chemical process engineering, mechanical, civil or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication in French and functional English.
  • Ability and motivation to perform administrative tasks.
  • Proven ability to priories and perform multiple tasks.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent flexibility, autonomy and ability to work effectively with mínimal supervision.
  • Good computer skills, ability to use basic Office Microsoft.
  • Team spirit and dedication.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours (rotating schedule/12 hours shift) and overtime.
  • Good physical condition to allow for work in varying environmental conditions (rain, heat, cold, snow), as well as climbing ladders and tanks, going up and down stairs, working at heights on walkways and in confined spaces.
  • Using safe lifting techniques, that person must be able to lift a load of 20 kg from floor to waist level.
  • Must be allowed by law to work in Canada fulltime on behalf of any employer other than their current employer.

  • Superviser les entrepreneurs et services d'entretien (MET et LOT) via l'émission de permis de travail, établir des communications efficaces et démontrer un leadership engagé envers la sécurité.
  • Superviser les opérations de transbordement marins ainsi que les tâches reliées à cette opération (branchement/débranchement de boyaux, amarrage et désamarrage de navire), puis agir à titre d'agent de sureté lors de ces mouvements. /
  • Effectuer les chargements/déchargements incluant les branchements/débranchements et ouvertures/fermetures des wagons (site LOT)
  • Monter et descendre de grands réservoirs d'entreposage pour échantillonner, vérifier le niveau de liquide, mesurer les vapeurs et effectuer des inspections générales.
