    Reporting to the Manager, Financial Systems Development (Manager), the Systems Development Training Analyst (Training Analyst) identifies and analyses training needs and develops training and evaluation for the end users of the Government of Nunavut's (GN) human resources and financial information systems. The position impacts the accuracy and quality of the data in the GN's human resources management systems and financial information system. The Training Analyst ensures that users from GN departments, boards and agencies receive the training to perform their various duties and responsibilities in relation to systems that support a range of human resources, payroll, and accounting functions. This position contributes to the organization by identifying training needs, as well as developing, designing, and implementing training programs.

    The Training Analyst is responsible for results and products in information technology (IT) operations of the Department of Finance in the following areas: Development of user training: Delivery of training and providing user supports: Supporting the introduction of new and modified systems: Preparing User Resources: Communicating with users: Providing Assessment, Evaluation and Follow up services.

    The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this job are usually acquired through an undergraduate degree in an IT or related field from a recognized institution, plus two (2) years of adult training experience.

    The Official Languages of Nunavut are Inuktut, English and French. Applicants may submit their resume in any of the official languages of Nunavut. Fluency in more than one of Nunavut's official languages would be considered an asset. Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, Inuktut and experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment are also considered assets.
