What to expect in the role:

This is a leadership role overseeing a team over approximately 15 frontline staff who will work in either our Community Access or Supportive Living departments.

Your primary role will be managing and supporting your team.

With the expectation of high performance of your team, you will provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and leading by example so that your team has the confidence and support to make decision as well as solve problems within their delegated authority.

It will be your responsibility to ensures that staff under your supervision are equipped and empowered to successfully execute their roles to provide the best services possible.

policies and procedures, health and safety protocols, legislative protocols, meet CET standards at all times, and ensure that your team does the same.


In this role you will also be responsible to ensure all documentation, Individual Support Plans (ISPs), Planned Approaches (PAs), and Behavioural Support Plans are completed and updated as appropriate.

You will be corresponding with our Individuals' (clients) families, guardians, physicians, and other professionals to provide the highest quality of service.

The Individuals your team supports may have a variety of diagnoses including but not limited to downs syndrome, autism, anxiety, depression, developmental delays, blindness, non-verbal communication.

You will be responsible to ensure the development of emergency plans for Individuals, all safety measures are in place within their home and Community Access, as well as, your team is trained in health, safety, and emergency procedures.

This position may require weekend availability, flexible hours, or assisting in a frontline capacity if needed.


Role Duties:


  • Ensuring that the daytoday needs of Individuals are met through your team's support
  • Training, supervising, and scheduling your team
  • Working with the contractors, regular staff and guardians to implement, complete, and update client Individual support plans
  • Ensuring that Individual's goals are tracked and completed throughout the year on ShareVision
  • Managing all administrative requirements of your team
  • Providing expertise and guidance to your team on regular basis and/or during the times of a crises
  • Completing staff supervisions, documentation, and PDD funding submissions as required
  • Using strong critical thinking to make timely, informed decision by considering the facts, goals, constraints, and risks
  • Reviewing client goals with your team and provide feedback to Program Managers periodically
  • Liaising with guardians, family, clients' network, and other community support services and resources
  • Attending, participating and leading network meetings as required, ensuring direct staff involvement as required by P&P
  • Conducting monthly supervision and annual performance evaluations of regular staff
  • Understanding of funding mechanisms for Individuals in the Disability Sector
  • Familiarity of legislation related to agency operations and a good understanding of Employment and Labour Standards.

Minimum Requirements:


  • Minimum of a Twoyear Diploma or a Degree in Human Services field from a recognized institution
  • 35 years related work experience in the Human Services field
  • 23 years of supervisory experience
  • Advance computer literacy and strong reporting skills
