Regional Vice-President, Sales - Ontario**In this role you will be responsible for leading the regional Broad Market sales team to meet or exceed the sales revenue and manage sales expenses. You will lead the execution of regional direction for sales, case and practice management, removing barriers to resolve issues, and enhancing the experience for productive Advisors. You will be responsible for relationship management and business development strategies for the top 10-15 Advisors and relationship management for carrier wholesaler teams. You will work in collaboration with the High Net Worth (HNW), Wealth and Strategic Relationships sales teams and provide coaching and development to regional sales team members.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Achieve the regions' sales plan:
  • Assist in developing of national strategic sales plans and tactics based on company goals promoting sales growth and Advisor satisfaction
  • Participate in the budgeting process for establishing revenue targets for region in collaboration with Vice-President, Broad Market Sales
  • Working closely with the Director, Strategic Growth, accountable for the overall recruitment targets of the region
  • Advisor advocacy activities dispute resolution, exceptions, escalations etc.
  • Primary relationship manager for the top Advisors in the region and channel highly productive Advisor relationships
  • Collaborate with wholesaling teams to ensure region is receiving support from our carriers
  • Participate in high value Advisor events to build and maintain relationships in region
  • Oversee the implementation of effective Advisor training and development programs within the region
  • Manage Advisor debt within region
  • Supervise Advisors aligned to the RVP role (where required re: compliance) complete tier 1 supervision activities as required
  • Participate in community/industry engagements
  • Actively participate in community events to promote the PPI Advisor experience
  • Represent PPI at local industry events such as; ADVOCIS, FPSC etc.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, guidance and feedback to develop the skills and performance of the sales team; identify and address sales team training needs implement and monitor development plans
  • Establish performance standards/plans for each sales team member annually and regularly evaluate performance of sales team member

Job Knowledge / Work Experience:


  • Minimum of ten (10) years sales experience
  • Insurance and investments sales and advanced product knowledge/experience
  • Strong understanding of financial services industry and regulatory environment

Education, Certifications or Licenses:


  • College Diploma, University degree, or equivalent experience
  • CFP, CLM, CHS, CLU designation(s) is an asset
  • LLQP licensed in relevant province(s)
