Description
The Assistant to the Production Coordinator supports the work of the Production Coordinator in an administrative capacity. This role collaborates closely with the Production Coordinator to ensure timely delivery of product to the customer.The Assistant to the Production Coordinator provides superior customer service, both to dealers and freight companies, and always conducts conversations professionally, both written and verbally.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma preferred
- 1 + years of manufacturing experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Highlydeveloped time management skills
- Ability to work independently
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Superior customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational, analytical, problemsolving, and planning skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, most specifically in Excel
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creates and manages all physical and electronic trailer files;
- Enters and logs all new order requests;
- Issues invoices to relevant dealers for completed trailers;
- Preparation of all administrative documents including:
- Production work orders;
- Trailer invoices;
- Compliance labels;
- Customs and border documentation for trailers crossing into the USA;
- NVIS and shipping documents;
- Assigns and updates all trailer serial numbers as required;
- Coordinates logistic and freight support for trailers between dealers and freight companies and communicates with drivers upon pickup;
- Provides backup coverage for the Receptionist during absences including breaks and/or lunch hours;
- Coordinates production meetings to review new orders;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Prolonged periods of sitting, typing.
- Exposures encountered occasional loud noise when in the plant.
