Discovery Precision Machining Inc. is a 17,000 square foot, full-service machining and assembly facility. Our capabilities range from CNC Turning, CNC Milling, and Assembly.A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Purchasing position for a manufacturing company is required.
Responsibilities:
- Create and issue purchase orders for raw material, processing services, hardware and tooling requirements.
- Verify and receive purchased materials into ERP system.
- Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of critical hardware and tooling.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on time delivery of purchased materials.
- Compare and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best possible pricing.
- Maintain strong business relationship with suppliers.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as required.
- Follow health and safety standards and company policies at all times.
Qualifications:
- Strong communications skills, positive attitude and ability to work as a team member.
- College or University diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Purchasing position for a manufacturing company.
- Experience with JobBOSS ERP system is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excel and Word.
