Position Summary:
Cambridge Materials Testing Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Acuren, Inc.

is currently recruiting a Machine Operator to support our Materials Testing Laboratory that provides a wide range of materials testing including chemical, mechanical, and physical testing, metallurgical investigations, and weld qualifications.

This position will be based out of our Cambridge Facility.

This a dynamic opportunity for an individual with a machining background and aptitude for problem solving and working with their hands that is interested in working in a world class laboratory.


Responsibilities:


  • Follow ISO and company quality standards.
  • Operation of CNC mills, CNC lathes, horizontal & vertical saws, grinders, sanders, manual mills, and engine lathes.
  • Maintain machine shop equipment and safety/maintenance checklists as directed by Machine Shop Supervisor or Laboratory Manager

Requirements:


  • Machine Shop Experience is an asset
  • Experience with FANUC controllers would be an asset
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • High school diploma required
  • Well organized, detailoriented
  • Must be able to work accurately in a fastpaced setting
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong verbal communication and with ability to follow written directions
  • Team player with willingness to learn and develop on the job
