Purpose:


The Key Account Manager is responsible for the delivery of PMA performance targets and managing the customer relationship with BCL - BC Liquor.

The role will require the development of annual customer plans while working collaboratively with Trade Development and the execution team to deliver PMA annual objectives.

Key Account Manager Responsibilities:


  • Align annual PMA portfolio / brand targets with Customer Strategies in order to deliver a comprehensive go to market plan
  • Review and evaluate key account monthly performance by brand versus target and develop action plans accordingly to ensure target delivery
  • Work closely with all relevant departments within the customer framework (i


e:

category, inventory, purchasing, procurement, etc.) to deliver accurate sales forecasting and sell-in proper inventory levels with the customer

  • Proactively participate with Trade Development and Customer Management in strategy briefing sessions while continuously providing feedback on program execution and effectiveness
  • Work collaboratively with Trade Development in the creation of account specific presentations as well as goals for distribution and merchandising promotion execution
  • Analyze competitive activities and generate insights to create a competitive advantage and sellable proposition
  • Insure promotional calendar is implemented flawlessly across all stores in selected accounts
  • Interface with the internal organization across all functions (Trade Development, Finance, Consumer Marketing, and Supplier base).
  • Secure incremental store distribution opportunities directly with the category buyers.
  • Endtoend approval of new items/innovation brands and SKUs on a time timely basis
  • As a member of the Regional Leadership Team, contribute to the broader leadership and strategic development of the region.
  • Assign and achieve goals by account and ensure accurate sales forecasting activities
  • Beat the competition, deliver/exceed the annual plan and be the partner of choice for our customers
  • Maintain high levels of employee engagement and a culture that encompasses the Values of the Company
  • Build and nurture strong relationships at every level with customer

Key Account Manager Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 34 years' experience in a similar role or significant practical experience within customer/consumer/supplier environments
  • Excellent computer skills, including advanced Excel and MS Office
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experienced in Strategic Key Account Management planning and implementation
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and problem solving skills
  • Excellent leadership capabilities with strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Capable of seeking out new ideas, exhibit initiative and be proactive
  • Managing complex customer relationships
  • Excellent Negotiation and Persuasive Selling Skills
  • Knowledge of Liquor Board Regulations, market trends and competition is critical
  • Relevant crossfunctional experience (finance, operations, IT, HR, project management, etc)

  • Frequent hand motion to perform various duties
  • Occasional immediate reaching, mínimal overhead reaching to perform various duties
  • Occasional standing and occasional walking for short amounts of time to perform various duties
  • Extended sitting for long periods of time at desk or workstation

Salary:
$75,000.00-$82,000.00 per year
