Job description
Job Title: Shopify Conversion Rate (CRO) + Media Buying Expert (MST)
Role Summary
We're hiring a hands-on Shopify growth expert who can
increase conversion rate end-to-end and
run profitable paid media.
You must understand what makes a Shopify site convert—down to the small nuances (UX, offer, messaging, speed, PDP/checkout details)—and be able to translate insights into measurable lifts.
Location / Hours
- Must work
Mountain Standard Time (MST) hours - Must be available for
multiple weekly meetings (standups, creative/testing reviews, performance reporting)
Core Responsibilities
- Own Shopify
conversion rate optimization: homepage, collection pages, PDP, cart, checkout, post-purchase - Audit and improve
site UX, messaging, offer structure, trust signals, and funnel friction - Build and run a structured
testing roadmap (A/B tests + iterative improvements), prioritize by impact - Manage paid media performance (Meta/Google/TikTok as applicable): targeting, budgets, bidding, creative strategy, and optimization
- Develop and brief
high-converting creatives and landing experiences; collaborate closely with designers/editors - Track and report on KPIs: CVR, AOV, CAC, MER, ROAS, LTV, funnel drop-offs, contribution margin
- Implement analytics best practices (GA4, Shopify analytics, pixels/CAPI, attribution sanity checks)
- Create clear weekly updates and action plans tied to outcomes
What "Great" Looks Like
- You can diagnose why a store isn't converting (and fix it) with clear reasoning—not guesses
- You're fluent in Shopify conversion fundamentals: PDP structure, variant UX, pricing psychology, shipping/returns, reviews/UGC, trust, speed, checkout optimization
- You run paid media like a business operator: margin-aware, systematic, creative-driven, and data-informed
- You're organized, direct, and comfortable being accountable for results
Required Experience
- Proven results improving
Shopify CVR and scaling paid media for eCommerce brands - Strong understanding of Shopify themes, apps, and practical implementation constraints (you don't need to code everything, but you must know what matters)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to turn data into actions
Nice to Have
- Experience with post-purchase flows (email/SMS), subscription offers, bundles, upsells
- Experience with landing page frameworks and creative testing systems
