Bethune, the first greenfield potash mine in Saskatchewan in over four decades, positions our client to produce top-tier potash for generations.

This facility facilitates seamless market access to Asia, North and South America, and is poised for expansion to meet growing demands.


THE OPPORTUNITY
We are actively seeking a proficient Project Manager to oversee our client's ambitious potash mining projects. Your central responsibility will be navigating the entire project lifecycle, prioritizing seamless efficiency, safety, and successful delivery.

Reporting directly to the Program Manager, your role extends beyond conventional management, guiding projects from conception to completion with precision and a steadfast commitment to established standards.

Safety and environmental compliance are paramount, aligning with a longstanding legacy of responsible mining practices.

As a key member of a collaborative team, you will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, shaping the narrative of responsible potash mining practices and playing a vital role in enhancing project outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Project Manager you will:

  • Project Planning and Execution:
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, considering timelines, resource allocation, and budgetary constraints.
  • Lead project teams in the successful execution of potash mining initiatives, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards.
  • Monitor and report on all aspects of the project.
  • Ensure all objectives of assigned project(s) are met, including compliance with budgets, expenditures, safety, quality, delivery, and scheduling.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, suppliers, and local communities.
  • Communicate project milestones, challenges, and successes effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks and challenges in project execution and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them.
  • Implement risk management protocols to ensure a safe and secure working environment.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure the delivery of highquality potash products.
  • Monitor and evaluate project performance against established benchmarks and key performance indicators.
  • Personnel Management:
  • Manage all personnel, including subcontractors within the project(s), and facilitate good site team relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS

As the Project Manager, you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in mining engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the potash mining industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
