GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


Under the general direction of the Operations team, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the execution of projects to yield optimal profit levels while providing value-added services to the clients.

The Project Coordinator will be mentored by the Project Manager to assist with the delivery of the project's goals and objectives.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assist the Project Manager to prepare estimates and budgets.
  • Assist in the tender submission process, including collecting subtrade and supplier bids and ensuring the planroom has the proper tender documents available.
  • Setup new projects, obtaining all relevant data and documentation from the client.
  • Prepare and distribute contract documents, award letters, meeting minutes, change notices, site instructions, RFI's, shop drawings, and other documents, as needed.
  • Assist in the filing of project information, as designated.
  • Prepare and maintain project execution schedules.
  • Obtain and submit plans and specifications to the permitting authorities and distribute permit numbers.
  • Prepare and collect information for Operation and Maintenance Manuals and organize seminars as required by the project.
  • Participate in Health and Safety training and meetings.
  • Undertake the primary project management responsibilities for small projects under the direct supervision of the Project Manager.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:


Education:

Degree or Diploma in Construction Engineering preferred.


Experience:
3+ years' experience in a project coordinator or related role in construction.


Knowledge, Skills and Ability:


  • Computer skills, including the Microsoft Suite.
  • Analytical skills in collecting and organizing statistical data.
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external personnel, liaise with multiple stakeholders and prepare professional documentation.

Travel:
Role is site based. Own vehicle required.
