Your mission as Regional Sourcing Manager Canada is to drive sourcing excellence improvements to support strategy and long-term targets for the Parts & Services divisions (PSD).

Scope is primarily within Canada - covering the Regional Distribution Center and the Customer Center, but in collaboration with global sourcing teams and stakeholders within other functions you will also have an important role to make improvements for the bigger NASA region.

As BKU (Business Key User) for strategic purchasing in Canada you will have a vital role in securing compliance to the purchase to pay process as well as training colleagues in the ERP system.


In your role you will also develop, implement and measure the effectiveness of the structure for local sourcing within the region in alignment with global processes and ways of working as defined by Parts & Services Strategic Sourcing.

Expectations include minimizing risks with the supplier base and capture cost and efficiency savings while promoting all other pillars within the sourcing function.

An equally important part of your mission as Regional Sourcing Manager is to challenge and propose improvements to processes - leading to improved efficiency and enabling Parts & Services division to deliver outstanding customer value.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • To develop the supplier base in line with business needs and PSD Sourcing strategy by retain, develop or discontinue purchase from local suppliers.
  • To negotiate and establish frame agreements in cooperation with Customer Center local sourcing.
  • Together with the Customer Center identify and drive sourcing improvement projects in line with strategy and KPIs
  • Carry out traditional sourcing activities for global parts sourced locally; handle RFQ processes, establish frame agreements, collect data and update system etc.
  • Secure that supplier base fulfils the corporate governance standards, including environmental and ethical standards of the Epiroc group by educating local contact persons and driving sourcing activities to minimize the use of local suppliers according to above.
  • To provide input to Category Managers with business requirements, spend and other relevant market information when strategies are reviewed and to challenge existing supplier base with alternatives.
  • To do cost comparison calculations of parts purchased locally and parts purchased from PSD distribution centers purpose being to assure best total cost when including parameters such as transportation, consolidated profit and loss of sourcing synergies.
  • Safeguard a stable and positive development of supplier performance for global parts locally sourced.
  • To be the global sourcing team's main point of contact for the customer center and the regional distribution center
  • To keep record of local spend and supplier base within the region including categorization according to Epiroc category tree and reason for local purchase.
  • To be Business Key User (BKU) for Strategic Purchasing in ERP system (M3)
  • To establish a good collaboration with key stakeholders in the region as well as global functions such as Supply Chain, PSD Engineering and Marketing.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
