The Cowichan Maternity Clinic is a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals providing obstetric care to women in the Cowichan Region. We are seeking an experienced Family Physician to join our team.
Our clinic offers a unique opportunity for physicians interested in Indigenous health, with approximately 10% of the local population identifying as Indigenous and about 30% of our maternity patients being Indigenous. Our community would appeal to physicians who want to make a meaningful difference in this area.
We have a shared on-call and clinic model, with midwife/lactation consultant services available for home visits in the first week post-partum. This position also offers opportunities for medical education, including undergraduate and postgraduate clerkships.
