Winnipeg Finance is looking for new team members to join our exciting and growing Branch. Are you interested in expanding your skills within a Branch that provides financial support for continued education and encourages growth into other areas and positions within the Branch?
The Winnipeg office of Air Canada is the global accounting center for Air Canada, which also manages the related passenger revenue accounting and sales systems, general accounting and consolidated financial reporting requirements of Air Canada.
The current starting salary is $21.99/hour as per the IAMAW Finance Collective Agreement. Regularly scheduled pay advancements up to $26.02/hour, or higher in the event of promotion or growth into other positions.

Description
Responsible for providing financial support in order to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial and administrative operations.
- Perform primary accounting functions in accordance with clearly defined procedures
- Provide professional, proficient service to external and internal customers
- Verify accuracy of accounts, reconcile and investigate discrepancies
- Perform tasks based on provided training, reference documentation, and standard processes
- Determine financial valuations using manuals, tariffs, or other sources for pricing/investigation
- Identify procedure/process deviations for review
- Initiate primary/intermediate communication to investigate missing or incorrect data or documents
Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years office experience
- Degree in progress in Accounting, Finance or related field an asset
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to not just multitask but to also anticipate process before directed to do so
- Ability to run reports, analyze data and prepare spreadsheets
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize duties and use good judgement
- Bilingual an asset
