Location:
This full-time position is based at
Elmwood Design Centre at 21 Granite Drive, Unit 3, Moncton, New Brunswick.
The Receptionist is the first point of contact for clients and are responsible for creating a warm, inviting, and friendly introduction to the Elmwood Design Centre.
They are also responsible for handling reception of guests and administration duties, scheduling, and rescheduling appointments, and handling basic inquiries.
They will work with the Design Consultants to ensure we deliver an elevated customer experience.Responsibilities:
- Ensures effective communication between clients, Design Consultants and Account Managers.
- Excellent at data entry, order processing and invoicing.
- Applies discretion with confidential data.
- Reviews purchase orders before submitting, ensuring information is accurate and submits supporting paperwork.
- Drives the administrative and support functions in the showroom.
- Demonstrates effective time management and can meet tight deadlines with project deliverables.
- Effective at schedule management and can maximize opportunities, such as filling gaps in the schedule and getting new clients scheduled in a timely manner.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, tact and a positive, solutionsbased attitude.
- Excellent at relaying plans, instructions and information to all necessary parties.
- Willingness to efficiently handle administrative tasks while simultaneously balancing customer interaction.
- Contributes to the success of the Store by helping their team members, and learning new skills.
- Able to manage samples, and ensures the overall cleanliness of the showroom.
- Highly organized and detail oriented, with strong followup skills.
- Can receive all incoming packages, mail, and additional deliveries.
- Can schedule deliveries as needed.
- Can manage the stock of supplies in the showroom; beverages, cleaning supplies, office supplies, etc.
- Has a sense of personal style and a polished appearance.
- Additional duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years industry experience in a similar role in a customer servicerelated field. Experience in a luxury environment is considered an asset.
- High School graduation or equivalent
- Ability to work autonomously when required.
- Must be available to work some Saturdays, as required.
- Experience working with a CRM considered an asset.
- Problem solver who enjoys working in team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, can manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience in customer service is required
- Knowledge of the building materials industry is a definite asset
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite skills with emphasis on Outlook and Excel and willingness to learn new software program.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a fastpaced team environment.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
Working relationships
- Reports directly to the Sales Manager, Lumber and Building Materials.
