We are a retail company selling premium windows and doors with locations across Canada. We are looking for professional and talented window installers who want to grow and thrive in our company. The primary responsibility for the job is to install premium windows in new construction or renovation projects in Ontario.

What YOU will be doing

  • Meet with customers and work collaboratively with TMs to confirm the following: installation methods, perform technical measurements, work to be performed.
  • Work closely with the inside install department to price out the cost for the installation, including materials, labour, number of days etc.
  • Execute window installation utilizing various trade methods standard within the industry and Marvin's installation guidelines.
  • Removing and installing new windows in existing homes or new home builds
  • Insulating and blue skin (water management) the perimeter of openings and caulking around perimeter of newly installed windows
  • Cutting and installing jamb extensions and interior trim
  • Exterior capping, using Marvin coil stock. Learn or know how to use the aluminum brake
  • Provide exceptional customer service through professional and courteous communication and treatment of our customers
  • Crossfunctionally collaborate with the head office team to assist in product service in addition to installation
  • Communicate all product and install issues to Installation manager
  • Always adhere to established safe working procedures and wear the proper safety equipment
  • Working from ladders and/or scaffolding
  • Loading and unloading of windows; maintaining a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and upon completion on work
  • Ensuring customers home is clean and organized at the end of each workday.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of window installation experience and 3 years of carpentry & residential construction experience, preferred
  • Knowledgeable in construction equipment safety, appropriate materials, methods, and tools required in various construction processes is an asset
  • Excellent attention to detail, and ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency
  • Strong work ethic, resultsdriven, "gettingitdone" attitude
  • Solutionoriented and innovative thinking abilities
  • Possess a customercentric mindset, providing superior customer service, while always observing professionalism and diplomacy
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and relationshipbuilding skills at multiple levels
  • Comfortable working under pressure and able to multitask
  • Able to competently use power tools and equipment to perform installation
  • Safety focused mindset; comfortable working on ladders, platforms, scaffolding and at ease with heights
  • Must be certified with Working at Heights
  • Must have valid driver's license and clean drivers' abstract

Work Conditions

  • Exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade and conducting work outdoors
  • Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions
  • Working outside in all weather conditions
  • Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects minimum 50 lbs
  • Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment
  • Regular exposure to conditions including heat, humidity, and dust
  • Use of required personal protective equipment
