Synopsis of the role


The Intermediate Data Analytics and Wrangling Associate is responsible for collecting, analyzing and identifying patterns, trends, insights and solutions from our data.

Associate will be gathering and scrutinizing data to help make decisions or create data business rules the business requires.

Performing analysis of existing data and new data and processes to measure data quality, value of data and effectiveness of data process will be key.

Associate will visually or verbally communicate results of analysis using advanced data visualization tools or storytelling techniques.


What you'll do

  • With moderate supervision, develop standards and best practices for data access and integration within Equifax's new big data analytical platforms
  • Analyze internal and external data assets in consultation with internal stakeholders with moderate complexity and which have a moderate impact on customer's business
  • Execute investigative data analyses of limited complexity in response to business requests.
  • Creating data visualizations by following processes to create metrics to track the ongoing quality of Equifax data
  • Creating dashboards and reports while to help review metrics for anomalies and performing analysis to determine cause, and work with stakeholders to implement corrective measures.
  • Analyze new sources of data to quantify quality, uniqueness, coverage and overlap with Equifax sources.
  • Collaborate extensively with Data Analytics, Technology leads and Product Owners to ensure the seamless consumption of insights generated from Equifax's new big data analytical platform.
  • Ensure proper use of Equifax data assets by working closely with data governance and compliance professionals.
  • Using Big Data tools, responsible for gathering and organizing disparate data sets for the creation of insights
  • Develop and Deliver analytical solutions using data visualization tools.
  • Combine business requirements and existing process and data knowledge to understand opportunity and design solutions for the data.
  • Develop and maintain necessary documentation for the business to understand the data elements and respective sources.
  • Maintain data integrity by periodically validating all necessary core data elements.
  • Handling concerns raised internal and external of the existing data.

What experience you need

  • 35 years of experience in a data analytics role
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Strong programming language skills (languages such as Python, R, SQL, Java C#, C++, and Node) to proficiently work within relational databases
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling and ETL best practices
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong statistical skills to assist in visualizing data within metrics
  • Strong communication skills to interact with technical and nontechnical stakeholders
  • Proficient knowledge of in data visualization tools (like Tableau and PowerBI) and ability to analyze and draw insights from data
  • Solid understanding of database management tools

  • Experience working on cloud is preferred.
