Warehouse Associate - HICat our
Scarborough, ONlocation.

You will support the business by accurately and efficiently managing shipments and packages in order to serve our customers' needs to the best of our ability.

Shifts:
Full Time - Monday to Friday, 5am to 1pm

Wage:
$17.66 (for first 3 months) which will increase as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)


In this Warehouse Associate position, you will be responsible to

  • Scan freight as per Global SOP and assist with warehouse searches.
  • Contact customers to rectify any issues and/or concerns.
  • Create traces/FTRs as required.
  • Ensure all damaged shipments are reported and processed as per GSOP.
  • Labeling and relabeling shipments/shelves.
  • Move freight within the warehouse area as per requirements/ fix damage shipments.
  • Accurately process shipments by deadline.
  • Participate in the organization and cleanup of the warehouse area.
  • Participate in maintaining a safe and cooperative work environment.
  • Responsible for internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Handle shipments in a manner that minimizes damage.
  • Paperwork is 100% complete, accurate and on time.
  • Shipment processing complies 100% with Transport of Dangerous Goods requirements.
  • Comply with Collective Agreement, policies, and procedures.
  • Alert operations management of issues and/or safety concerns immediately as they occur.
  • Other duties as assigned by the shift Supervisor.

Here is what we need from you:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Verbal and written proficiency in English
  • Computer literacy and willingness to learn new programs.
  • Proficient, expedient computer and data entry skills min 30 wpm.
  • Ability to lift and carry parcels, up to and including 70lbs. per piece.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and on time within tight time constraints.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Often fatiguing or uncomfortable - hot or cold warehouse environment dependent upon season. The job might often require concentrated levels of attention and physical activity. Tension and time constraints may be an on-going aspect of the job. Uniforms are supplied.

All applicants are
required to pass interviews, a criminal background check in order to qualify for the position. Must be minimum 18 years if age to undergo prerequisite background checks.
