We're looking for an ambitious and hard-working professional to join our Manufacturing team in the role of
Technical Assistant, Manufacturing

As a Technical Assistant, Manufacturing, you will.

  • Oversee production of edible and ingestible extracts
  • Operate, clean, and maintain production equipment to ensure it operates safely and effectively
  • Prepare equipment for daily use
  • Inspect equipment for safety and operating issues
  • Participate in regular processing related activities, leading by example and using these times as teaching opportunities
  • Communicate concerns regarding productivity to Coordinator
  • Follow defined Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure the highestlevel quality.
  • Ensure that proper sanitation is maintained for all production equipment and tools including workspaces, processing equipment, and containers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
  • Ability to master and control sophisticated equipment in a food manufacturing type environment.
  • Be a steward of Aurora's Values in Play
  • Work towards meeting department goals around efficiencies, yields and cost.
  • Must adhere to Aurora's SOPs
  • Promote and maintain GMP/GDP requirements.
  • Other duties as required

You would be the best fit for this role if you have

  • Previous experience in a processing environment in a relevant industry, including food, health care, pharmaceuticals, etc.
  • Experience working in a GMP environment is preferred
  • Must be able to wear Proper PPE (jump suits, safety glasses, hair nets, etc.)
  • Ability to handle stress while performing multiple tasks.
  • Must have ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Close attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to multitask, coupled with a sound mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent organizational skills, communication, and problemsolving skills.
  • Intermediate to excellent computer skills in MS Office
  • Excellent time management, leadership, decision making, and interpersonal skills.

Bonus points if you have

  • Physical effort is required, lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50 lbs
  • Working environmental conditions range from 20 to 28 degrees Celsius
  • Comfortable wearing PPE including but not limited to water resistant apron, facemask, face shield
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and after hours as required.
  • Manual dexterity required, confidence and comfort working with complex food manufacturing equipment
