Description
We are looking for someone with a passion for taxation who wants to work in an unconventional environment where they will participate to the development and release of high-performance, state-of-the-art tax software.
The incumbent will work within the team responsible for the quality of the content and the integrity of the calculations of the tax applications sent to our clients.
This person will work closely with the tax experts and will have the task of verifying the accuracy of the new specifications implemented in the application following new budgets and changes in laws.
She will also have to verify that the calculations comply with tax laws and suggest changes in the application to better meet the needs of our clients.
More than 20,000 accounting offices, including the 30 largest firms in Canada, rely on our Taxprep , CCH iFirm Tax and Cantax software, and use them to file millions of tax returns annually.
Paid overtime.Using guides and tax law, perform tax quality control related to the tax topics assigned to you, in collaboration with members of the development team.
Design and update tax tests in collaboration with tax specialists.Enter tax tests.
Perform a review of the computer code to detect anomalies related to the conditions.
Depending on the needs of the tax support team, engage with customers after the launch of software to market by taking live calls or conducting research when calculation problems arise.
College diploma (DEC) or bachelor's degree in administration, accounting option or the equivalent and one year of experience in filing tax returns or specific courses in taxation.
Computer skills and mastery of intermediate Excel functions (macros).Respect for deadlines, rigor and concern for quality.
Availability to work overtime during releases.
