Description
The eCommerce Site Merchandiser plays an important role in the maintenance and success of the online grocery business.

The eCommerce Site Merchandiser maintains the eCommerce website in order to provide the best customer experience to easily discover and purchase products online through site merchandising, category management, promotions, content development/curation and customer service.

The Merchandiser will also assist with website analytics and help implement search engine optimization strategies.

The eCommerce Site Merchandiser's key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and Implementation of Product Data
  • Manage site merchandising and curation standards and execute these standards on the site. Maintain the product catalogue and weekly promotions in order to drives sales. This includes adding and removing items, sourcing item details and imagery, curating recommended and alternative options to customers and the necessary product descriptions for customer discovery and search engine optimization.
  • Responsible for partnering with crossfunctional teams such as Marketing, Operations Managers, Stores and IT to develop and prioritize experiences and site initiatives.
  • Ensure the site appropriately communicates key messages, aligns with overall brand and tone and provides the online shopper with a streamlined and positive online experience that they would expect from one of our traditional retail stores.
  • Measures KPIs and provide indepth Google Analytics performance analysis to management and offer suggestions on ways to continually improve the online experience to help drive sales.

DAILY ACTIVITIES:


  • Manage the online shopping site and presentation of the product assortment, including categorization and curation.
  • Manage the product data which includes search keywords, product attributes, meta tags, descriptions and imagery.
  • Work with Marketing and Operations Managers to implement promotional opportunities including daily, weekly or monthly sale items. Design and publish curated pages related to promotions, paid content, special themes, seasonality or other opportunities.
  • Manage promotion and coupon codes.
  • Assess Google Analytics statistics to ensure there are no major site faults or issues and report on daily sales performance.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Understating of eCommerce and multichannel retailing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and relationship management.
  • Experience with customer service in a retail business environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly with data entry.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, Adobe Photoshop and online Content Management Systems.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to show initiative and work in a fast paced, high growth, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to build and leverage strong crossorganizational relationships.
