Job Profile
As the General Laborer you will:
- Prepare job sites for concrete lifting and leveling projects; including measuring and marking drilling locations where required;
- Drill holes with a handheld gaspowered pneumatic rock hammer drill and/or electric drill;
- Cut concrete with a handheld gas powered portable concrete saw;
- Ensure there is an adequate supply of material to meet specifications for each project;
- Transport truck and trailers to and from job sites;
- Mix material in the project area by method of shoveling material, concrete and mixing adequate amounts of water to material/concrete ratios;
- Ensure quality of mix materials meet Precision Concrete Leveling's concrete leveling and stabilization measures and protocol;
- Lead work crews through void filling and concrete lifting processes by directing and communicating information to team members;
- Mix small concrete batches and fill holes with hand tools;
- Operate pressure washer and various other handheld and gaspowered tools;
- Assist in collecting site information for future projects.
Your education and qualifications include:
- Successful completion of Grade 10.
- Experience performing laborer duties in a construction related environment.
- Ability to oversee and coordinate the work of other crew members.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees, customers and the surrounding public.
- Effective time management, organization and prioritization skills while paying attention to detail.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- The ability to adhere to and enforce safety rules and policies.
Conditions of employment:
- Employee must be able to provide their own transportation to and from work site.
- The successful applicant must maintain legal eligibility to work in Canada. If the successful applicant possesses a work permit, it is their responsibility to ensure the permit remains valid.
- Possess and maintain a valid Manitoba Class 5 driver's license. Class 3 license (without Air) is an Asset and arrangements can be provided by company to obtain class 3 license at no expense to employee.
- Physically capable of performing all duties of the position.
- Be able to work outside in various weather conditions
Salary:
$20.00-$28.00 per hour
