Description

The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for supporting the HR/People team in the administration of key HR programs at DP World Canada.


Key responsibilities

  • Support onboarding of new hires and offboarding of leavers.
  • Support the recruitment of new hires by posting job ads, editing job descriptions, scheduling and conducting phone screenings, scheduling interviews, maintaining recruitment folders, completing reference checks and issuing and collecting all relevant onboarding documentation ahead of a new hires' start date.
  • Prepare employee documentation, including employment verification and offer letters as requested.
  • Assist with HR related inquiries or requests including HRIS and payroll data entry and account administration.
  • Provide administration support to the HR team as required.
  • Participate and support projects by providing input such as system improvement initiatives, development, testing and implementation of our internal human resources systems.

Qualifications, Job Function, Technical Knowledge and Skills

  • A degree and/or diploma in Human Resources is preferred.
  • At least 2 years' experience in an HR, customer service or administrative role.
  • Experience with recruitment is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain good working relationships and ability to excel in a team environment.
  • Adapt in a fastpaced environment with the ability to manage competing priorities and multitask.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills with a high degree of thoroughness, accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Fluent in English
