Tribunals Ontario - Ministry of the Attorney General is looking for a Digital Strategy and Services Lead to join their team


Tribunals Ontario is a group of 13 adjudicative tribunals that play an important role in the administration of justice in Ontario.

Each year our tribunals receive and resolve nearly 100,000 cases. Tribunals Ontario provides fair, accessible dispute resolution to thousands of Ontarians. Tribunals Ontario addresses various kinds of disputes in the social, property assessment, safety, and licensing sectors. These are important issues that touch people's lives in fundamental ways. Tribunals Ontario is continuously modernizing services and systems to meet the needs of Ontarians.


Digital Delivery is responsible for delivering, designing, and managing digital services, sustaining IT systems, managing IT projects and initiatives, and asset management across Tribunals Ontario.

As a Digital Strategy and Services Lead, you will be responsible for creating and delivering digital strategies and services to support initiatives and electronic service delivery that aligns with Tribunals Ontario's Digital First strategy.

What can I expect to do in this role?: In this role, you will:

  • Manage the development of leading-edge strategies, plans, and provision of services and support for Tribunals Ontario's initiatives and electronic service delivery that aligns with Tribunals Ontario's Digital First strategy
  • Provide leadership and guidance in implementing digitalfirst and digitally enabled services and user experience aligned with Tribunals Ontario's (TO) digitalfirst strategy to transform user experiences and how TO delivers its services
  • Lead in management of Tribunals Ontario assets, implementing an inventory and tracking system to identify the location and identification of equipment and IT assets
  • Provide leadership to a team of highperforming professionals responsible for Digital creative content and IT asset management
  • Lead, plan, and develop business cases and proposals
  • Consult with internal stakeholders to identify business needs, approaches, opportunities, and challenges
  • Conduct costbenefit analysis, risk assessment/evaluation activities
  • Provide advice to senior management on the interpretation and implementation of government processes, requirements, and ministry direction
  • Develop performance/outcome measures and program evaluation
  • Lead the implementation efforts at various stages of the project

How do I qualify?:


Business Knowledge:


  • You have knowledge and experience in creating digital strategy & digital services
  • You have knowledge of the digital creative content, digital forms, digital marketplace, digital platforms, and technology and market trends to identify product opportunities
  • You have knowledge of IT Service and Asset Management for example (ITIL, ITSM, ITAM)
  • You have the knowledge to identify business process requirements, issues, gaps, opportunities, risks and provide solutions

Project and Performance Management Skills:


  • You have knowledge of project management theory, techniques, and principles
  • You can provide leadership in the development of strategic plans and change management initiatives and their rollout

Communication and Consultation Skills:


  • You have the ability to exchange information and provide advice and guidance on program evaluation
  • You can effectively communicate with clients and senior management on the interpretation and implementation of government processes
  • You can provide information on program evaluation issues, performance measures, and their alignment with programs directions

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:


  • You can research, develop, and evaluate business solutions and information management needs for the effective delivery of services, programs, and business improvement initiatives
  • You can provide research, investigate, and assess the relevance of information; interpret and analyze issues or problems; formulate project/business options and the optimal solution; and make recommendations
