Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance, maintain scheduling and distribute workload for Maintenance personnel on all shifts in daily operations and other projects.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining Preventative Maintenance Program, Spare Parts Inventory System and Ordering System in an effort to reduce downtime and scrap and increase productivity.
  • Communicate with Shift Leaders/Supervisors concerning what is running, what needs to run and any problems that have occurred on the previous shift.
  • Communicate with the Scheduler on mold changes and cell changeovers.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic functions to troubleshoot, repair and maintain all computerized injection and blow molding presses and associated support equipment.
  • Communication, both verbally and written to keep the Plant Management informed of repairs, materials used or needed and downtime required.
  • Provide financial justification for new projects and improvements on existing maintenance systems.
  • Once approved, insure completion of a project within allotted timeframe and budget.
  • Involvement in ITS, KAIZEN, and Ideas Program activities.
  • Research companies for superior and more costeffective products when implementing new systems or upgrading old ones.
  • Safely and effectively change tools for IMM and BMM in a timely manner.
  • Be a leader in maintaining the 5S culture of the facility
  • Special projects, as required by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Education and /or Experience:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Post secondary education a plus.
  • Maintenance Supervision experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of the manufacturing process.
  • Formal training on injection and blow molding equipment.
