Summary:


The Program Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the most complex, enterprise-wide, and strategic group of projects that Samuel IT has in its portfolio.

This role is responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and acts as the single point of contact.


Given this incumbents level of project management expertise, they will effectively manage a group of projects under the program and will be accountable for its successful delivery.

The Program Manager manages project managers/work package leaders comprised of cross functional teams responsible for delivering project outputs on time, within budget, and with quality results.

He/She plan, organize, monitor, and oversee a program of one or more enterprise projects to meet defined requirements and/or business specifications.

It is their responsibility to take projects from original concept through final implementation. They work closely with IT and Business leaders to guide efforts toward achieving intended business outcomes.


The Program Manager also ensures appropriate management, customer, and supplier involvement through the life of the project and acts as the escalation point for all project managers within their program.


This role is effective in establishing, building, and strengthening key relationships within the business and key vendors, as well as work closely with Business Relationship Managers to manage the demand from various Samuel Business Units.


Responsibilities:


  • Leads the implementation of Business Transformation Initiatives
  • Provides input into the continuous improvement of Samuel's Project Management process and drives awareness and adherence
  • Create a project environment that enables peak performance by all team members, and successfully deliver all assigned projects, within a matrix structure
  • Maintain a high level of quality in project management processes and deliver all required project artifacts including but not limited to
  • Project Charter
  • Project Plan including a comprehensive Work Breakdown Structure
  • Risk, Action, Issue, Decision (RAID) Log
  • Status and Steering Committee Reports
  • Project Closeout and Lessons Learned Register
  • Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with all stakeholders to reassess and/or amend the scope of work, budget, and timeline
  • Responsible for vendor and procurement management process related to project
  • Effectively represent program at meetings with IT and Business Unit leaders ensuring priorities are communicated and understood, and that progress, delays, issues, and risks are reported
  • Manage IT communications, training, and organizational change management plans for internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage projects utilizing Agile Project Methodology and Scrum Framework Delivery approach

Education & Certifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, or related or equivalent experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified
  • Scrum Master Certified
  • ITIL Foundations

Qualifications:


  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT Project Management
  • Experience leading a merger, acquisition, and/or divestment which includes enterprise solution(s) carves
  • Experience in implementing large scale ERP including but not limited to these process areas:
  • Manufacturing
  • Order to Cash
  • Finance
  • Procurement
  • Warehousing
  • ERP implementation experience
  • MES implementation experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage programs and/or multiple more highrisk, complex projects involving external vendors and multiple business areas
  • Extensive knowledge of project management methodology
  • Traditional and Agile Methodologies
  • Intimate knowledge of ERP processes including but not limited to Procurement, Order to Cash, Warehousing, Finance, Manufacturing, and HR
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills including written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with Senior Executive Sponsors across the organization
  • Familiarity with NIST, ITAR, and CMMC required
  • Ability to build and influence teams in a matrix environment to drive results
  • Strong ability to effectiv
