GardaWorld is currently looking for an experienced Mall Security Team Lead to join our team.

The Team Lead is responsible for managing contract operations, a team of security guards, as well as overseeing call response and day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws, procedures and position directives.

75 Centennial Pkwy N, Hamilton

Position:

Monday To Friday 2 pm to 10 pm

Hourly Pay Rate:

$19

What you ll be doing:

Supervise and lead a team of security professionals to ensure effective delivery of security services
Responsible to organize and supervise all site training ensuring the new security team member has a fully understanding of the site SOP's and site expections; prior to working on their own
Ensure security duties are carried out in compliance with all federal, provincial, and municipal laws including: The Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property legislation
Direct the delivery of security services according to the contractual service level agreements
Maintain local sitespecific post orders and directives by reviewing and notifying Client and GardaWorld of required revisions
Carry out supervisory and management functions and responsibilities, including training new staff, daily post inspections, maintaining compliance and discipline of site staff
Review all security reports completed by GardaWorld Staff and submit to the Client synopsis report
Conduct reviews of security reporting and suggest relevant changes to the security site specific program for continuous improvement
Assist Client with special projects associated with the security operation
Provide ongoing inservice training for security team including quarterly and annual department training on Emergency Procedures
Analyze and evaluate security operations to identify risks or opportunities for improvement
After-Hour requirements to attend site if called upon by GardaWorld Account Manager or Mall Client Contact
Perform documented monthly random after hour site inspections to the Mall checking on the Team, ensure services are operating as expected, dealing with any service concerns in realtime

What we re looking for:

3+ years experience in Security working in a Mall Environment
Ability to coordinate security activities in a fastpaced environment
Strong attention to detail and observation skills when recordkeeping and writing reports/memos
Ability to operate security equipment/systems, camera recording systems, computers, and radios
Exceptional judgment, common sense, and decisionmaking ability
Good physical condition with an ability to walk, run, stand for long periods of time, climb stairs, and lift objects
Ability to complete front desk and patrolling duties daily
High level of customer service skills and ability to use effective communication to resolve issues
Valid Provincial Security Guard Licence prior to employment
Recognized and valid First Aid and CPR certificates prior to employment or able to obtain the required Certificates within the first 3 to 6 months on site
