Alarm Technician - Metro Vancouver Regional District, Canada - ILPS International Loss Prevention Systems

Description

Duties:

• Install, program, and maintain alarm systems for commercial properties
• Conduct site surveys to determine the best locations for alarm system components
• Test and troubleshoot alarm systems to ensure proper functioning
• Train customers on how to use and operate their alarm systems
• Respond to service calls and perform repairs as needed
• Keep accurate records of all work performed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an Alarm Technician or in a similar role
• Knowledge of telecommunication systems and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
• Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and wiring
• Strong problemsolving skills to detect and resolve issues with alarm systems
• Familiarity with lowvoltage systems is a plus
• Knowledge of computer hardware is beneficial
