Job purpose


The Creative Marketing Specialist leads the strategic development of creative projects across the Brand, Creative and Campaign teams with the purpose of developing a catalogue of unignorable content that inspires and moves our supporters.

Acts as the voice of WVC throughout all creative and content, aligned to the established brand narrative.

Duties and responsibilities

Concept Development

  • Collaborate with marketing specialists, product owners, brand associates, designers, video producers, writers, and other stakeholders on campaign materials with multiple channel executions.
  • Acts in a shared services capacity to the Marketing Communications team, writing, editing and delivering all marketing and/or field communications and digital content.
Creative strategy and stewardship

  • Act in a shared services capacity to Centre of Excellence, work with inputs from business units to build creative briefs, coordinate delivery of outgoing marketing communications, and providing insight and feedback on creative solutions.
  • Represents the team in planning for crossfunctional activities across areas of the organization including Campaigns, Philanthropy, Offering Fulfilment and Experiential Marketing.
  • Work with segment teams to understand customer segments and gotomarket targets, ensuring assets take a customer centric approach by aligning creative collateral to customer preference, interests and desires.
  • Maintain an ongoing understanding of partner's business objectives to maximize innovation, efficiency and effectiveness of creative content.
  • Foster a highly creative environment while embracing the policies and processes of the organization.
  • Employ organizational adopted tools and best practices to facilitate process improvement efforts and contribute to the realization of the strategic goals.
  • Act as the singular voice of WVC throughout marketing communications channels.
  • Works alongside our Agency of Record (AOR) to deliver and execute creative vision.
  • Deliver brand and creative learnings to key areas of the organization on an ongoing basis.
  • Evolve marketing communications on an ongoing basis to improve acquisition marketing performance.
  • Model and embrace a nonhierarchical approach, demonstrating transparency and trust across the organization.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years' marketing communications experience; preferably with an international NGO and/or a Christian faithbased organization.
  • Strong creative thinker with an ability to conceptualize vision and brand.
  • Strong writing skills, including ability to write for film or rich media.
  • Experience working in agile environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong working knowledge of design principles.
  • Committed team player with proven collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, proofreading, written and verbal communication, and creative skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, communication, financial, pitching and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and manage to a plan.
