Position Overview
The Manager, Surgery and MDR is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Operating Room, Recovery Room, Procedure Rooms, Laundry, Stores and MDR areas of the Clinic with the goal to provide high quality patient care services within the available resources.
The Manager is responsible for ensuring high quality clinical and operating outcomes to meet the Clinic's goals for the provision of safe, efficient, effective and high-quality care.
The responsibilities of the Manager encompass the domains of leadership, planning and organization, communication, resource allocation, advancement of knowledge and continuous quality improvement.
ExperiencePrevious Recovery Room or Operating Room experience preferred.
Minimum of - 5 years' management experience in an acute Healthcare setting.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
Bachelor of Nursing.
Peri-operative nursing certificate preferred.
Certificate or degrees from a recognized healthcare management program preferred.
Must hold active Registration with the CRNM.
A comprehensive knowledge of nursing theory and current practice.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
Registration with the CRNM.
Current B.C.L.S certification.
Qualifications and Skills
Demonstrated leadership skills with superior interpersonal, collaborative communications and facilitation skills.
Highly effective problem-solver with excellent human resource management skills. Provides leadership to create an environment conducive to effective working relationships.
Demonstrated ability to foster an interdisciplinary collaborative environment that supports quality patient care/quality improvement.
