**VACANCY

Permanent Full Time Clinical Manager, Mental Health & Addiction Services
**NBRHC - North Bay Campus
**The Clinical Manager reports to the Director, Mental Health and supports the Mental Health & Addictions
Services portfolio. The Manager is responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations of
the Early Years Programs known as Northeast Infant Hearing Program, Northeast Blind Low Vision Early
Intervention Program, Sudbury/Manitoulin Preschool Speech Language Services as well as the Grant
Program. The Manager provides organizational and system leadership for the overall coordination and
program development for these patient populations.


Qualifications Include:

Minimum four (4) year Bachelor's Degree with a specialization within a health related field from an
accredited university

Master's Degree in business or a health related discipline is an asset
Current certificate of registration in good standing with an applicable regulatory college is required.
Minimum of five (5) years' experience working as a health professional in a health care environment
Minimum of two (2) years' working in a leadership/supervisory role, preferably in a health care

environment

Demonstrated excellence in clinical reasoning, critical thinking skills, assessment, documentation,
intervention and care planning skills

Superior leadership, communication, team building and creative problem solving skills
Excellent human resource management skills including recruitment, retention and motivation of staff
Demonstrated cultural awareness and competencies in working with patients and care partners from

diverse backgrounds.

Excellent budgeting and financial management skills
Experience with change management and innovation
Proficient computer skills particularly with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and patient

information systems.

Knowledge of human resources/labour relation practices, relevant government legislation and guiding
documents (e.g. Ministry Service Guidelines), and principles of management

Understanding of multiple regulated health professions and associated Acts
Familiarity with collective agreements, scheduling
Demonstrated time management, prioritization and organizational skills
Demonstrated commitment to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events required
Must demonstrate good attendance
Bilingualism may be required as determined by compliance with the French Language Services Act

Criminal Reference Check including the Vulnerable Sector Check recent within six (6) months is a
requirement

North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) is a unique health care organization with three primary roles:
providing acute care services to North Bay and its surrounding communities, functioning as the district

referral centre providing specialist services for smaller communities in the area, and it's the specialized

mental health service provider serving all of northeast Ontario. At more than 400 beds, our state-of-the-art

regional health centre has over 150 physicians, 2300 employees and 250 volunteers.
