Reports to:
Auxiliary Programs Coordinator

Interfaces with:
Faculty, staff, students, school administration, school leadership, and the entire school community

Position Rationale:

Summer Programs are offered to Stratford Hall and external families and are an integral part of the school's commitment to families. The Summer Camp Leader role is integral to the success of Stratford Hall's Sabres Summer Programs.

Ability to use judgment when working with team members and students alike
Ability to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team
Collaborative and flexible teamplayer
Ability to provide care and mature guidance to children

Qualifications and Experience

Previous work experience with children aged 410, preferably in a school or camp setting
Required Level 1 First Aid training

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Supervising students during summer camp activities and outings
Assisting with the running of camp activities
Assist with the setup, use and organization of camps each day
Be active in camp activities to help reinforce behavioural expectations, redirecting students as necessary
Accompany students on local outings as needed (such as trips to parks)
Supervise and be responsible for students on field trips

Hours of work are 8 am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
