About Us

Westshore Marine and Leisure is a leading powersports dealership, specializing in boats, ATVs, and outdoor recreational vehicles. We are looking for an experienced Marine Technician (Boat Mechanic) to join our service team and work on boat and Outboard Motors / engines and marine systems. NOC Boat Mechanic.

Expereince in boat and outboard motors brands like Mercury, Suzuki, Lund, Yamaha, Bennington and Berkshire will be an asset.

We deal in several leading brands like Polaris, Yamaha, Suzuki, Lund, Mercury, Berkshire and Bennington.

We can also provide LMIA to the right candidate who has the experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Marine Engine Maintenance & Repair

• Review work orders and discuss work to be performed with the supervisor.
• Diagnose, repair, and service outboard and inboard marine engines (e.g., Mercury, Yamaha, Honda, Evinrude, Suzuki, Volvo Penta, etc.).
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, water pump replacements, and fuel system cleaning.
• Troubleshoot and repair ignition, fuel, cooling, and electrical systems on boats.

Boat Systems & Rigging

• Install, repair, and maintain steering systems, propellers, and trim systems.
• Conduct rigging and pre-delivery inspections on new boats.
• Install and troubleshoot marine electronics (GPS, depth finders, sonar, VHF radios).

Customer Service & Documentation

• Communicate with customers to explain repairs and provide cost estimates.
• Document all work performed in service reports.
• Assist with warranty claims and ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.

Shop Maintenance & Safety

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Follow all safety procedures when working with tools and marine fuels.
• Stay up-to-date with marine technology advancements through training.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years working as a Marine Technician or Marine Mechanic. Experience in brands like Yamaha, Suzuki, Bennington, Lund and Mercury that have outboard motors and boats.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with outboard and inboard engines
• Diagnostic Skills: Ability to use diagnostic tools like ECU scanners and compression testers.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy parts, bend, kneel, and work in outdoor conditions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
