YOUR ROLE:


Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent, the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of mechanical trades in a safety focused Kraft Pulp Mill.

The role will be of interest to effective leaders who are dynamic, resourceful, self-starters and demonstrate a commitment to safety.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Lead, supervise and develop maintenance employees;
  • Track and measure performance utilizing appropriate methods/tools;
  • Contribute to short and long term planning strategies;
  • Make a difference and in the Mill's overall success.

YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Safety focused;
  • Selfdirected and works with mínimal supervision;
  • Ability to work with all groups to define schedules and prioritize work
  • Confident communicator at all levels of organization including listening, writing and presenting;
  • Change agent with the ability to collaborate well with others;
  • Strong problem solving & analytical skills, excellent judgment and confidentiality;
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands;
  • Detail oriented;
  • Exceptional leadership skills with proven ability to coach varying levels of the operation;
  • Work well in team and possess a friendly and positive demeanor and professional image.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Possess an Interprovincial Red Seal Certification in Millwrighting, Pipefitting, Heavy Duty Mechanics or Welding;
  • Experience supervising trades in a safety focused, industrial work environment;
  • Proficient with computers including experience in working with a computerized maintenance management system (SAP);
  • Previous experience planning and scheduling within a multi trade work environment is considered an asset;
  • A dual ticket is considered an asset.
