We are seeking a Professional to join our Integrated Resource Planning division. You will be responsible for developing statistical
and econometric analyses and model simulations necessary to prepare the Electric Load Forecast and Natural Gas Volume
Forecast as well as developing Residential and Commercial energy sales forecasts, end-use models, and other specialized models
needed by the Department.


_ Responsibilities:
_


  • Develop econometric models from historic data to produce Residential and Commercial customer, average use and sales
forecasts for electricity and natural gas.

  • Collect and assess historic and forecast demographic, key economic indicators, and fuel price information, and ensure these
are accurately incorporated into the forecasting models.

  • Design and implement a detailed Residential End Use model that utilizes survey data, billing data and appliance usage
estimates.

  • Forecast future saturations and usage of residential building types, new and existing construction, fuel usage for heating and
electricity and other residential end uses.

  • Develop and derive results from other needed forecasting models including a fuel price elasticity model, a fuel switching
model, a monthly growth model, a probability analysis model, and an hourly load model.

  • Develop and support load forecast scenarios to support Integrated Resource Planning process.
  • Collect, interpret, and incorporate historic and forecast Demand Side Management estimates into the electric and gas

- forecasts.
  • Design sample frames and develop poststratification techniques for analysis of the Residential and Commercial energy use

- surveys.
  • Document the models, all changes to the models and the quantitative effect of the changes for inclusion into the forecast

- documents.
  • Provide econometric analysis, stochastic analysis, and model simulations to respond to internal, external and Public Utility
Board requests.


_ Qualifications:
_


  • A bachelor's degree in Statistics or Applied Economics or a related field and four years of directly related work experience
demonstrating the skills and expertise in data analysis and model development.

  • Must possess a demonstrated experience in data analysis packages such as SPSS, SAS and R to produce explanatory
models and model simulations.

  • Must possess strong analytical and problemsolving skills, necessary to develop creative solutions.
  • Must possess excellent computer skills and a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $40.75-$56.22 Hourly,
$78,076.44-$107,734.64 Annually.
