JOB SUMMARY

interviews for this position will not be scheduled until the beginning part of the New Year **AGLC's HR Consultants play a key role in not only the smooth running of day to day operations, but also in the implementation of the overall HR Strategy.

Reporting to the Manager, HR Consulting Services and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team you will be a strategic partner to leaders of an assigned division(s) and will monitor the evolution of the internal and external business environment.

AGLC is continually evolving and in this role, you will have the opportunity to participate in various initiatives that help to influence decision making that embrace best practices in HR management.


You will contribute to our team:

  • As a trusted advisor to the business leaders with respect to all people matters and programs such as, people resource planning, performance management, organizational design, workforce planning, leadership development, recruitment, and employee relations.
  • Work closely with the business leaders to determine their needs and formulate a plan to help deliver on each of their business priorities.
  • Ability to drive complex changes and initiatives.
  • Council and influence business leaders by proactively partnering on organizational issues that have a people impact.
  • Utilize metrics to measure success for high value Business Partner services.
  • Council and educate business leaders on positive and effective employee relations.
  • Involvement or participation in other corporate initiatives and special projects as required.
  • Advocate and support Diversity, Inclusion, Respect and Collaboration within your assigned Divisions and the organization as a whole.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • A related University Degree and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience as a Human Resource Generalist/Business partner. Preference will be given to those with more than 5 years of experience.
  • Solid experience working as a business partner in a full range of Human Resources services is essential.
  • Employee Relations experience is essential for your success in this role.
  • Experience with Hay Group job evaluation is an asset.
  • CPHR designation is desirable.
