Personal Support Workers are the core of the Geri Health Team; they can choose their area of practice, home care and in-facility healthcare aide.

You are part of the healthcare team in delivering high standard quality care and assisting clients with their activities of daily living.

• Assist the client with personal care and other routines of daily living such as transferring, grooming, dressing and bathing/showering.
• Ability to carry out patient's individualized care plan accordingly including therapeutic recreational activities.
• Assist the clients in the activities of daily living including shopping, light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Assess, report and document any changes in client health status and intervene timely to ensure client's safety and wellbeing.
• Demonstrate professionalism at all times with interprofessional team, clients, families and community contacts.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the care team.
• Excellent critical thinking skills, problem solving and decisionmaking skills to deliver care to clients safely.

• Personal Support Worker Certificate
• First Aid/CPR
• Criminal police check and Vulnerable Police check issued within 3 months

• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
