The Opportunity:


How you will make an impact:

  • Recruit, develop, and manage a variety of contract for service educational teams
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of educational content
  • Provide guidance for the educational content design of TVO's Digital Learning portfolio that is equitable and inclusive in supporting learners of diverse backgrounds, learning differences, and ages
  • Work with a crossfunctional team to inform the creation of engaging, accessible, equitable, and relevant content that is rooted in cutting edge pedagogy
  • Work with other managers to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of online content, modules and learning materials students on existing, new and emerging platforms
  • Ensure content quality and that the final products exemplify the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion and best pedagogical practices on online platforms
  • Inform and review the creation of online content and digital learning activities including but not limited to outline, learning activity creation, and wireframes for digital components
  • Monitor progress, identify potential risks, and implement solutions to ensure the timely and successful completion of learning programs
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to measure the effectiveness and impact of educational programs.
  • Stay updated on the latest educational trends, technologies, and best practices to incorporate into project development.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive environment to encourage creativity and innovation in educational project planning and execution.
  • Review, provide feedback on content and student experience and support testing of educational content with learner groups

What you will bring to TVO:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a school, online learning, and/or system leadership capacity
  • 5+ years of classroom experience in K1 Member of the Ontario College of Teachers in good standing
  • Successful completion of a Bachelor of Education
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience in, and understanding of complex issues related to equity, diversity, and inclusion as they relate to the learner experience. A thorough understanding of diversity frameworks is essential.
  • Ability to work at times outside of business hours due to contract employee availability
  • Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, with demonstrated experience
  • Additional education or training in a related field, e.g. a Masters of Education or DE&I an asset
  • Proven knowledge of latest versions of Ontario Curriculum Documents for K12 and Growing Success
  • Demonstrated understanding of emerging technology for publications including multimedia
  • Applied knowledge of eLearning design principles
  • Experience working in an online learning environment
  • Proven success managing multidisciplinary teams in successful project delivery
  • Demonstrated project and budget management skills
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail
