The Global Payroll Manager will work closely with Payroll Associates, People Operations, Finance and the People Leaders to ensure payroll is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

You will lead payroll implementation projects, manage benefits administration, ensure accurate payroll reporting and continuously review and optimize payroll processes.

The team is currently 1 Payroll Associate based in the UK who will be reporting to you.

You will be reporting directly to Kate Muller (Chief People Officer)

What you will be doing:


  • Lead the execution of Canadian, US, UK and all Global payroll on a monthly and semimonthly basis
  • Manage Payroll Service Providers to ensure all payrolls are processed timely, accurately and in compliance with legislative requirements, established controls and company policies
  • Subject matter expert on M&A activities related to the implementation of new payroll systems in the international markets and in multiple global regions
  • Review payroll setup, making sure that CaseWare remains compliant with Provincial, State, and Countryspecific regulations.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely internal and external reporting, including but not limited to GL reports, auditing, tax notices and filings, investigating/managing any tax notices and filings with the respective government agency
  • Manage yearend payroll and payroll tax activities and support the execution of yearend incentive payouts.
  • Continuously improve efficiencies through automation, enhancements and new partnerships related to payroll and benefits, and proactively communicate to the organization.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders, such as Finance and country leadership, to streamline and enhance the reporting processes
  • Daytoday supervision of the payroll associates, including coordinating, monitoring, and assisting with their training and development.

What you will bring:


  • 57 years of relevant experience
  • PCP or CPM designation
  • CIPP qualification or equivalent (nice to have)
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with Canada, US and multiregion payroll and benefits administration
  • Knowledge of HR processes and experience with related HRIS software (BambooHR)
  • Experience with managing a centralized payroll service such as Ceridian-Dayforce, BlueMarble, and working with multiple global payroll vendors, and payroll implementation projects
  • Experience with the integration of mergers and acquisitions
  • Strong working knowledge of G-Suite, advanced Excel, analysis and data manipulation skills
  • Attention to detail and outstanding ethics with respect to confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a global team
  • Resilient and solutiondriven
  • Demonstrated success in leading the creation of business process improvements by building relationships with key crossfunctional stakeholders
  • Understanding of Federal, Provincial, State and International regulations and policies
