Under the general supervision of the Manager of Development and Inspections, the Training and Knowledge Management Supervisor will:- Provide direction, leadership, expertise and guidance to direct reports.
- Assume core member and leadership responsibilities in various Department and Division process improvement projects.
- Lead the development and implementation of best practice processes and a maintenance plan for a Divisional Knowledge Management System.
- Identify improvements and implement new processes to measure productivity through trending, data analysis and dashboards on Divisional Key Performance Indicators.
As the _Training and Knowledge Management Supervisor_
, you will:
- Develop and implement training programs, documentation and public awareness materials for the Development and Inspections Division (D&I).
- Provide expertise as core member and leader in various Department and Division process improvement projects.
- Supervise the daytoday service delivery activities of staff for efficiency, quality, and adherence to Divisional Standards, policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement best practice processes and maintenance plan for a Divisional Knowledge Management System.
- Manage the data analysis, trending and delivery of metrics and reports related to productivity and process efficiency, effectiveness and quality.
Your education and qualifications include:
- Undergraduate Degree in related discipline (Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Science, Bachelor of Arts) or equivalent combination of education and training will be considered.
- Certificate in Adult Continuing Education (CACE) preferred.
- Knowledge-Centered Service (KSC) certification preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
- Internal City of Winnipeg courses as identified, such as: Project management Overview, Power of Plain Language, Leadership Training path an asset.
- Four (4) years supervisory experience which includes regular performance management.
- Experience preparing effective training programs, userfriendly training manuals, clear and informative reports with mínimal direct supervision.
- Experience teaching adults who may have various levels of knowledge, backgrounds, and learning abilities, in a classroom or other setting.
- Experience coordinating cross functional projects including needs assessment, project definition/scope/resource requirements, project planning, implementation and closure.
- Experience tracking and managing a knowledge base (documentation and various media), including executing a maintenance plan to keep information current.
- Experience identifying new processes/process improvements and implementing process change within a team / organization.
- Knowledge of development principles and tools.
- Good problemsolving, research and decisionmaking skills.
- Advanced proficiency in using MS Office Products (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge of the AMANDA permit tracking system an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
