    Job Summary:

    The ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Specialist, is responsible for the day-to-day managing, optimizing, and supporting the ERP system used across the organization.

    This role will ensure the effective utilization, optimization, and support of the ERP system within the company. By managing system implementation, configuration, data integration, user support, system maintenance, and compliance, the ERP Specialist contributes to enhancing operational efficiency, streamlining business processes, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.


    Job Responsibilities:

    Your supervisor may from time to time ask you to perform other related duties not specifically included in this job description. This job's key responsibilities include:

    • ERP Support: supporting, implementing, and integrating business processes using DELMIAworks IQMS ERP system and all its modules in repetitive manufacturing environments. Modules include financials, cost accounting, production, inventory, MRP, supply chain, procurement, quality control and engineering. Key activities will include working with SME's guiding best practices, documenting processes, and developing and implementing standard work instructions.
    • ERP Implementation and Upgrades: Support cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, procurement, production, and supply chain, to ensure successful upgrades and integration of ERP modules. Manage upgrades, patches, and enhancements to the ERP system to improve functionality, performance, and security.
    • System Configuration and Customization: Configure ERP system settings, parameters, and workflows to align with business processes and requirements. Customize ERP modules and functionalities to meet specific business needs, such as manufacturing processes, supply chain management, financial reporting, and procurement.
    • Data Management and Integration: Manage data migration, conversion, and integration between the ERP system and other systems or databases within the organization. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across different modules and databases within the ERP system. Develop and maintain data management processes, standards, and procedures to support efficient and effective data governance.
    • User Support and Training: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users of the ERP system, including resolving system issues, answering user inquiries, and troubleshooting errors. Develop and deliver training programs and materials to educate end-users on ERP system functionality, best practices, and processes. Collaborate with IT support teams to address complex technical issues and escalate unresolved issues to software vendors or developers as needed.
    • System Maintenance and Optimization: Monitor system performance, usage patterns, and user feedback to identify opportunities for system optimization and improvement. Conduct regular system audits, performance reviews, and health checks to ensure the ERP system is operating efficiently and effectively. Implement system enhancements, workflow improvements, and performance tuning measures to optimize system performance and user experience.
    • Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security measures and access controls to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies. Monitor system access logs, user permissions, and security configurations to detect and mitigate security risks or unauthorized access.
    • Vendor Management: Stay updated on ERP software updates, releases, and new features, and assess their potential impact on the organization's operations and systems.

    Job Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, engineering, or a related field is typically required. Relevant ERP certification would be an asset.
    • Skills and Experience:
      • Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of DELMIAworks IQMS application software functionality of all modules in multi plant/company environments. Familiar with the use of stored procedures, web services/API, Oracle 19c and SQL queries for data exchange with other systems. Familiar with crystal reports and labelmatrix label design applications and PDF417 and datamatrix 2D barcode symbology. Familiar with automotive EDI (X12, EDIFACT, ODETTE and VDA) standards, and Cleo communications.
      • ERP Implementation Experience: Hands-on experience in ERP system implementation, configuration, and customization projects. Experience with full lifecycle ERP implementations, including requirements gathering, design, testing, training, and deployment.
      • ERP Support and Maintenance: Prior experience providing technical support, maintenance, and administration of ERP systems, including system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
      • Industry Experience: Experience working in the automotive industry or manufacturing sector is advantageous, as it provides insight into industry-specific processes, requirements, and challenges.
      • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, procurement, supply chain, and operations, to align ERP system functionality with business needs and objectives.
      • Project Management: Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools for planning, organizing, and executing ERP implementation projects effectively.
      • Database Management: Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and database query languages (e.g., SQL) for data analysis, reporting, and system administration.
      • Business Process Analysis: Ability to analyze business processes, identify requirements, and translate them into ERP system configurations and workflows.
      • Data Migration and Integration: Experience in data migration, conversion, and integration between ERP systems and other business applications or databases.
      • Troubleshooting and Support: Strong problem-solving skills and technical troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve ERP system issues and user inquiries.

    Working Conditions:

    • Office Environment: typically work in an office environment that is located in close proximity to plants being supported.
    • Regular Business Hours: ERP Specialists typically work standard full-time schedules during regular business hours. However, occasional overtime or extended hours may be required, especially during ERP implementation projects, system upgrades, or troubleshooting critical issues.
    • Global Operations: may interact with colleagues, stakeholders, and system users across different regions and time zones. This may involve virtual meetings, conference calls, or occasional travel to coordinate ERP activities and support users at different locations.
