Position Description:


This
_Entry Leve_l Bi-Lingual AR / Collections Specialist
, located in Goodyear's Etobicoke support center, is focused on negotiating / collecting for our accounts with the smallest exposure and least risk.

The goal of this role is to resolve past due accounts making overall risk assessment decisions. A small portion of the role will be to assist with the assessment of their credit worthiness, establishing credit limits including heavy use of Excel._ Bi-lingual French / English is required._**
Principal Responsibilities:
  • Proactively manage collections and ensure timely resolution of outstanding accounts in the assigned portfolio as well as reconciliation of accounts identifying discrepancies.
  • Manage communication with internal customers using Bilingual skills to assure all parties are aware of risk accounts and work together towards the collection and resolution of past due accounts.
  • Develop/Administer plans to collect on past due accounts
  • Communicating these plans via phone/electronic communication.
  • Occasional Assisting in determining the credit worthiness of new/existing customers.

Required Experience and Education:


  • High School diploma.
  • 2 or more years of professional experience preferably in accounts receivable or customer service.
  • Experience working with Excel
  • Bi-Lingual French / English

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Experience interpreting a company's financial viability from a risk assessment perspective.
  • Experience or working knowledge in obtaining security documentation and guarantees
  • Advanced skills in using Microsoft specifically Excel
  • Ability to negotiate in a customeroriented environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
