Your Mission:

AfterShip is actively seeking an Events Marketing Intern to bolster our dynamic events initiatives.

Reporting directly to the Senior Partner Marketing and Events Manager, you will assume a pivotal role in planning and executing both in-person and online events designed to drive lead generation and enhance brand visibility.

This role offers you the chance to directly impact AfterShip's marketing metrics while gaining valuable exposure to large-scale industry events.


The Events Marketing Intern will work full-time (35 hours per week) for the duration of the 2024 Winter Semester, with the opportunity to extend.

Compensation for the position will be $20-24/hr.


As an Events Marketing Intern, you will:

  • Support Event Logistics and Administration: Assist in the planning and execution of events, ensuring all logistics are organized efficiently.
  • Field Marketing Activations: Participate in onsite and online field marketing activities to promote AfterShip's brand and offerings.
  • Travel Coordination: Organize travel arrangements for teams attending events, ensuring a smooth experience for all participants.

Budget Control:
Monitor and manage event expenses to stay within budgetary constraints while meeting project goals.

  • Event Venue Coordination: Work closely with event venues and vendors to coordinate logistics and ensure a seamless event experience.
  • Event Calendar Management: Maintain and update the event calendar, coordinating communication with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Customer Success, Business Development, Partnerships, and Senior Management.

Who We're Looking For:


  • Students in pursuit of a degree or with career aspirations in Marketing, Business, Tourism, Hospitality, or Events Management programs;
  • Active involvement in school/student associations with experience in organizing school events/activities/campaigns such as socials, orientations, networking, fundraising, or related;
  • Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Notion, ChatGPT, Canva is a plus.
  • Prior professional or internship experience in the Marketing field is preferred but not required;
  • Ability to work and lead multiple, simultaneous projects from planning to completion in a team or independently.
