THE POSITION
Keyera is currently seeking an Operations Shift Lead to join the Simonette Gas Plant near Valleyview, Alberta.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervising and directing the operations team daily
- Provide frontline oversight, support, and quality assurance of safety critical work
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and support plant operational upsets
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to optimize process, manage costs, and improve efficiencies
- Ensure frontline regulatory reporting requirements are submitted and completed in a timely manner
- Ensure alignment with Operational Excellence (OE) requirements and assist in continued conformance with OE standards as required
- Support facility procurement needs through the SCM process within the financial authority matrix guidelines
- Frontline visible leadership presence and reinforcement of Keyera's Cultural Behaviors
- Active participant in facility Health and Safety Initiatives within the operations group
- Worksite Inspections, Targeted Inspections, Event Reporting
- Active participant in the facility leadership team planning processes
- Assist with the Management of Change (MOC) process at site as required
- Work with supporting departments (i.e. Projects, Engineering, Business Development, etc.) to meet facility objectives
- Liaise with third party customers as required to ensure good customer relations
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years' experience in Sour Gas processing, liquid fractionation, stabilization, and pipeline operation.
- Strong commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
- Hold an ABSA Third-Class certification at minimum with experience in Process Operations.
- Previous turnaround, commissioning, and Project execution experience and/or control room board experience would be considered as asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to provide timely and relevant feedback.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Strong analytical, reporting, conflict resolution, problem solving and facilitation skills.
- Ability to build strong collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships with all facility staff.
- Able to work within a camp environment, one week on one week off.
- Must be available to work days/nights and provide after hour support to facility if required.
