    The Opportunity

    Our Supply Chain Operations team is looking to add an #EnergyProblemSolver in Calgary to support the administration of our building and facilities across Canada and the US.

    We are seeking an experienced professional who is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and improvement of the company's facilities, buildings, and associated infrastructure. This role ensures the physical work environment meets organizational needs and regulatory requirements to support the overall business objectives.

    What you'll do

    • Manage and oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all company buildings, equipment, and facilities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
    • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors to schedule and supervise facility-related projects, renovations, and upgrades.
    • Monitor and analyze building performance data to identify opportunities for increased energy efficiency, cost savings, and sustainability improvements.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive facilities management plans, including preventive maintenance schedules, emergency preparedness protocols, and space utilization strategies.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all facility-related issues, inquiries, and requests from employees, resolving problems efficiently and effectively.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
    • Manage the facilities budget, tracking expenditures, and recommending cost-saving measures as appropriate.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as IT, HR, and operations, to align facilities solutions with business needs.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to building management and sustainability.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field
    • 5+ years of experience in a building/facilities management role
    • Proficient in the use of facilities management software and building automation systems
    • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with all levels of the organization
    • Working knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental compliance requirements
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
    • Willingness to be on-call and respond to emergencies as needed

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience using Microsoft D365

    • Travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings or training up to 10% of time
