The Position:
We're looking for someone to be a part of our Quality Team as a Quality Inspector.

You would be contributing to the team by:

  • Measuring parts on the plant floor during machining to help the operators produce good parts
  • Measuring parts at final inspection to approve them before they are allowed to leave the machine
  • Communicating any quality problems to the Machine Operators and Quality Manager so they can help you stop the bad parts from leaving the operation


Your team will include the Quality Manager, Machine Operators and a great group of Quality Inspectors who will all help support you to get the job done.


Pay:

Pay range is $18 - $22 / hr to start based upon experience, your ability to be productive independently and your contribution to the alfa team.

We review pay annually and it increases with ability as well as dedication and effort (e.g. how independent you are, your knowledge of our parts and potential defects; your attendance and punctuality; in a small company we know WHO does WHAT Your effort will not go unnoticed here).


Shift:
The Quality Inspector is a day shift position.


Working Conditions:
The Quality Inspector will spend 100% of their time in the plant environment. Exercise that includes standing, walking and the lifting are all part of the job

What we will expect from you:

  • Become confident with all of alfa's parts and know how to visually identify potential defects
  • Learn how to read blueprints in order to properly assess part requirements
  • Use precision quality measurement tools with care and skill
  • Collect and record data accurately on quality defects
  • Communicate regularly with Production and Quality so that both teams are aware of any potential quality issues

What skills you should have:


  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs
  • Excellent at communicating with team members
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic with a determination to complete duties well and on time
  • Commitment and responsibility towards quality of work completed daily
  • Comfortable working in a factory environment
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

What experience you should have:


  • Quality Inspection 1 to 3 years (preferred)
  • Automotive experience is an asset
