Safety Training Officer - Moncton, Canada - Armour Transportation Systems
Description
The Safety Training Officer Will Develop, provide, and support New Hire and refresher training for employees and sub-contractors to improve Armour's Safety culture and performance. As well, will be an active team member with continuous improvement and compliance activities. Reports to Director of Safety
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, publish, and update New Hire / Refresher Safety Training contentDevelop, publish, and update Driver training and reference guides/procedures
- Provide New Hire and Refresher Training to employees and subcontractors
- Driver Evaluations
- Orientations and or training sessions
- Safe Behaviour Observations
- Driver Engagement events
- Other assigned activities
- Support the ELD Training and Compliance process
- Participate on assigned Projects for Safety and Compliance improvements
- Complete Incident InvestigationsParticipate on Internal and External Safety committees
- Other duties as may be assigned
Essential Competencies:
- Valid Class 1 License with Air Brakes
- Experience with driver evaluation, education, and coaching
- Strong knowledge of Federal and Provincial Transportation regulations
- Experience with ELD and Onboard technology solutions
- Strong time management skills
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Computer Literacy and strong understanding of Microsoft Office and Applications
